The Pilates method was created by Joseph Pilates as an exercise technique requiring the mind to work with the muscles to perform movement.  Throughout the years, Pilates has developed into a form of exercise practiced by thousands.   

Numerous exercises provide a vocabulary for movement sculpting the muscles of the body.  Moreover, Pilates has helped many improve posture, lower back pain, flexibiltiy, and muscular endurance.
